Dear colleagues, Ladies and gentlemen

As all we know 2014 year for our country is remembered by the triumph of Russian athletes at the XXII Olympic Winter Games and successful achievement at the XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi (Russia), and also by the beginning of preparations for coming International Sport events – World Championships FINA 2015, Hockey 2016, Football 2018.

Russia is going through an active lawmaking period. Nevertheless, we are increasingly overseeing foreign experience of legal regulation of sport and promotion of sports activity.

Nowadays, when the role and status of sporting achievements acquired world significance, such a huge sport events organization has a decent importance.
New sport achievements are not only contributing enhancing the authority of the state and nation, but also the growth of national consciousness and health, as well as becoming a dynamic and full harmonious development of the human personality, including sports and physical culture.

From the very foundation of IASL it’s not passed by a huge period of time for the final settlement of the rules in Sports Law. Consequently, the legal regulation of the sphere of physical culture and sport is particularly relevant nowadays, has decent flexibility and needs further development and improvement in the Future. The most effective approach in lawmaking is the exchange of best practice among professionals.

It’s a great honor and pleasure at once to be a part of the so-called forefront of Legal regulation in Sport.

International Congress on Sports law under the patronage of IASL contributes invaluable experience to the development of legal science. Thus, the pleasure is all mines to welcome all participants of the 20th Congress of the International Association of Sports Law and wish them a meaningful dialogue and great creative achievements in the field of sports law.
